Top 5 PlayStation Protagonists From The 90's

So, we here at Socially Gaming sat around, debated, voted, argued and threw paper as we came up with the top 5 heroes from a Sony PlayStation game in the 90's. There was a lot of heated moments as we came to the final conclusions, and we even had an intern quit! So without further delay, here are the top 5 heroes from a Sony PlayStation game according to the vote at our office. What do you think? Is there anyone deserving of this list who didn't make it?

5.) Regina - Dino Crisis (1999)

Red-headed special ops agent with all the right.. ahem.. moves. Regina is a member of the covert agency known as S.O.R.T [Secret Operation Raid Team] in the Dino Crisis series.

4.)Chris Redfield/Jill Valentine - Resident Evil (1996)

Elite zombie killers, this duo was introduced to the PlayStation console in 1996. The Resident Evil series has come a long way since, developing into an industry icon for the horror genre. You can find the Resident Evil series in pretty much every good gamer collection.

3.) Alucard - Castlevania:Symphony Of The Night (1997)

Does it get any more bad ass? He's the son of Dracula. Alucard fights on the side of good however against his father, but this just makes him even more cool to us.

2.) Solid Snake - Metal Gear Solid (1998)

An expert at infiltration and espionage, Solid Snake is an ass kicker and icon in the gaming industry today.

1.) Cloud Strife - Final Fantasy 7 (1997)

No one can deny the epic clash between Cloud Strife and Sephiroth in what is no doubtedly one of the best story lines in a game for the 90's.

That's our Top 5 Playstation Protagonists from the 90's. It was a a surprisingly hard task to just pick 5 classic, memorable and fun to remember heroes. There was no shortage of good games in the 90's and I know a lot of you may not even remember these games.. we do, and we remember them like it was yesterday.
